My baby is 13 months old usg at 4th month of pregnancy shows hydronephrosis few days back we went for dr consultation he suggested for DTPA scan

Its important to find the cause of hydronephrosis. The most common cause is UPJO (obstruction in kidney - pelvis). Since USG cannot make full diagnosis, we need other investigations that includes DTPA. DTPA will help to find the cause, iin addition, provides data about the functional aspect of kidney. Regards
