Risper-1 contains Risperidone that is used for mental disorders that causes depression and delusion and affects person's behaviour. It helps the person to think clearly and take part in everyday life activities.

Dose and Direction of Use
Swallow the tablet whole by mouth.You can take it with or without food. Don't crush, chew or break the tablet. Follow the dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor.
Mode of Action
Has high affinity for serotonin type 2 (5-HT2) receptors; binds to dopamine D2 receptors with 20 times lower affinity than that for 5-HT2 receptors; antagonizes alpha1-adrenergic, alpha2-adrenergic, and histaminergic receptors; has moderate affinity for serotonin type 1 (5-HT1C, 5-HT1D, 5-HT1A) receptors; has weak affinity for dopamine D1 receptors; has no affinity for muscarinic, beta1-adrenergic, and beta2-adrenergic receptors

Contraindications
Don't use this medicine if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to Risperidone
Precautions and Warning
- Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding woman before taking this medicine to understand the risk and benefit ratio.
- Talk to your doctor about past medical history like kidney problem, heart problem or liver problem
- It may take 4-6 weeks to notice effect of medicine. Take it as prescribed.
- It may cause increase in weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, and fat. Eat healthy, exercise, and monitor your levels regularly.
- It may cause dizziness or drowsiness so avoid any activity that requires concentration unless you know how the medicine acts on you.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can worsen the side effects.
- Risperidone can make you more sensitive to extreme temperature. So, avoid getting dehydrated or too cold. Drink plenty of water.
- Don't double the dose for the missed one.
