OROHEAL is brand name of Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1%w/w. This medicine is a oral steroid used for the treatment of mouth ulcers.It provides relief from swelling and redness in the affected area.

Dose and Direction of Use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Mode of Action
Triamcinolone inhibit phospholipase A2 on cell membranes, preventing the breakdown of lysosomal membranes of leukocytes, which in turn prevent the formation of arachidonic acid, which decrease expression of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, inhibiting synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It works reducing inflammation (swelling), redness and pain in the mouth. It does so by sticking to the wet surfaces of the mouth and forming a protective film over the ulcer/injured surfaces.
Uses
Mouth ulcers ( Small painful sores on inner lips, gums, tongue, roof of the mouth or throat that may interfere with eating, drinking and even talking)
Contraindications
Don't use this medicine if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to this medicine
Precautions and Warning
- Don't double the dose for the missed one.
- Complete the prescribed dose and duration of medicine. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
- Do not apply more or less of it or apply it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Do not apply it to other areas of your body or use it to treat other skin conditions unless directed to do so by your doctor.
- Your skin condition should improve during the first 2 weeks of your treatment. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve during this time.
- To use this gel, apply a small amount to cover the affected area of skin with a thin film.
- Avoid use on the face, in the genital and rectal areas, and in skin creases and armpits unless directed by your doctor. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
