Fusimar-B is the combination of Fusidic Acid 2% and BEtamethasone valerate 0.1% in the cream form. It is used to treat certain types of skin infections like eczema, athlete's foot and many fungal infections too.

Mode of Action
Fusidic acid works by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis, specifically by preventing the translocation of the elongation factor G (EF-G) from the ribosome. Betamethasone binds to specific intracellular glucocorticoid receptors and subsequently binds to DNA to modify gene expression. The synthesis of certain anti-inflammatory proteins is induced while the synthesis of certain inflammatory mediators is inhibited.
