Coldcare is the combination of paracetamol, chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine that is used in the fever with common cold and allergic symptoms.
Therapeutic Class

Dose and Direction of Use
- Take the tablet thrice a day at interval of 8 hours.
- Swallow the tablet without breaking, chewing or chrushing the tablet.
- Take the tablets with food.
Mode of Action
Chlorpheniramine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Phenylephrine is an agonist of α1-adrenoceptors. Nasal decongestant action is mediated by activation of α1-adrenoceptors in the arterioles of the nasal mucosa. This causes vasoconstriction, which leads to decreased edema and increased drainage of the sinus cavities. Paracetamol reduces fever by affecting an area of the brain that regulates our body temperature (the hypothalamic heat-regulating center).

- Hypersensivity to any ingredients
- Severe hepatic impairment
Precautions and Warning
- Take the medication as per the guidence of the pharmacist.
- Take the medication with food.
- You can stop taking medication once your symptoms go away.
- If any difficulties arise during medicaion, stpo taking medication and consult with doctor.
- Take the medication with cautions for kidney patient and liver patient and also in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
