
Prof. Dr Sunil Raja Manandhar currently working as Professor and Head , Neonatal unit and Acting HOD at the Department of Pediatrics, Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, Sinamangal, Kathmandu. He is working at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital over the period of 16 years. Over the period of more than 12 years, He is working as Senior Consultant Pediatrician at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital.. He is also serving PG Preceptor, an External and Internal Examiner of MBBS and MD Pediatrics for Kathmandu University . He is involved in research activities of neonatal and perinatal health and has published several papers in reputed national and International peer reveiwed Indexed Journals. He is also invloved as a external peer reveiwer in reputed national (JKMC, NEPAS, NHRC) and internationall journals (BMC pregancy and child birth, Indian Journal of Medical Research, Journal of research and Neonatology, Journal of Pediatrics health, medicine and Therapeutics).
Dr Sunil Raja does research in Neonatology and Pediatrics. He has given Training on Neonatal Advance Life Support (NALS) and Essential New Born Care Training to Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics to different district and Zonal Hospitals of Nepal including follwoing districts Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Nawalparasi, Arghakhanchi, Dhanusa, Mahottari,Morang, Baglung, Kaski, Parbat, Banke, Surkhet. He has 28 Publication in National and International Indexed Journals.His most recent publication is "Use of antibiotics in newborns with maternal history of premature rupture of membrane". He is also General Secretary of Mother and Infant Research Acitvites (MIRA) , which is working for improvemnt of Maternal and Neonatal health. He has served as a General Secretary of Perinatal Scoiety of Nepal (PESON ) for 2015- 2018. He has delivered more than 50 oral presentation and Speech in National and International Conferences since 2003- 2018. He has attended many National and International Conferecnes including Nepal, India, Bangladesh and USA. He has taken Special Leadership Training Course on Maternal and Neonatal Health from T.H Chain Public Health School, Harvard University , Boston, USA on 2017.
