Dr. Chalise is currently based in Tokyo. However, he is happy to take online consultations (and provide second opinions) from Nepal and Nepalese around the globe.
For patients in or coming to Japan, special OPD clinics may be arranged (prior reservation required) at IMSUT hospital at Sirokanedai station, Minato-ward, Tokyo.
With rigorous training in microsurgery and vast experience with more than 1000 complex neurosurgical cases including complex brain tumor surgery, cerebro-vascular surgery (aneurysm clipping, endovascular treatment, EC-IC bypass), DBS, Awake Brain Surgery, etc. at top notch Japanese institutes, Dr. Chalise will take consultations on any kind of neurosurgical pathologies.
His special interests include complex brain tumor cases that are considered difficult to treat by general neurosurgeons and awake brain surgery to preserve neurological functions of the patient. He is happy to take consultations on chemotherapy and radiotherapy for malignant brain tumors, too.
Treatment strategies will be tailor-made to the patient`s needs.
He is involved in multiple clinical trials including oncolytic viruses for malignant brain tumors and also performs basic research work on cancer immunotherapy . You can also consult him about experimental treatments for refractory and "non-treatable" malignancies of the nervous system.
