Hello, My father got Gallbladder surgery from patan hospital just about 30 hrs ago. He still feeling lots of pain and he is unable to anything by himself. What would be the reason getting lots of pain after 24 hrs of surgery? The problems is if he eat/drink something he feels a lot of pain. Can anyone consult please

Please follow the advise of the doctors there for feeding in initial days as feeding should be started gradually. Later he can take normal diet. Avoid fatty foods!
Thank you so much Dr. Adhikari for quick response. Do you recommend any food or drink so, he can eat; like fiber food. It's been more than 30 hrs he have been not eating. If he drink couples of spoon water, he gets more pain on his stomach. Regards, Ramesh Bhandari

It may be due to pain from surgical side. May remain for some days. Please consult with on duty doctor out there so that some pain relieving medicines can be given.
