what is a ganglion and when should do operation it

Ganglion is the swelling commonly seen on the top of joint or on outer covering of tendon. It is jelly like fluid filled on most of the times. We can wait and watch, but if its having troublesome problem it need to be removed by surgery . Please visit some general or orthopaedic surgeon and do according to the suggestion. Thank you!
