Recently, I went to see a dermatologist for check-up for allergy. He made to do some test. I did so. The report showed that my SGPT/ALT and SGOT/AST were 78 and 50 respectively (higher than the range) . During the report submission, the doc concentrated on other blood report and ignored these. Should I worry? Do these Indicator fluctuate to some degree all the time?
Thank you for your query. AST/ ALT report may slightly vary or increase if you have taken alcohol recently or may be due to some other causes. Unless its significantly higher or more than doube you need not worry. If you are not satisfied you can repeat it after weeks or 10 days.

Ideally the ALT and AST levels should be within the normal range, but there is no need to worry unless you take alcohol regularly or the level is more than double .
