My groin area has turned really dark and skin and muscles seem significantly thin (so thin that I can feel what seems to be a nerve). The skin near groin is also scaled and a bit thin.Three years back I caught a fungal infection.Medicine controlled the blisters but since then the black scaly part has been there around my groin upto upper thigh. What should I do?Please help.

Hi. Looks like you used wrong creams for fungal infection. Steroid mixed creams are given from medical shops for fungi, which is wrong. These creams lead to SKIN thinning, darkening & makes it sensitive. Scaling could be due to recurrent fungal infection. Groin infections take longer time to treat as they are reservoirs of the fungi. Recently fungal treatment failure is also notorious. Hence you need tablets & creams for at least 4-6 wks.
