I am experiencing pinching pain at a particular spot in my stomach for years, but it lasts only for seconds therefore I have been ignoring it. But as I can notice its frequency has increased from about a week. No swelling or marks are there. What could be root cause?

A sharp severe short lasting pain is usually due to luminal obstruction eg stones in ureter, stones or worms in bile duct. You should get yourself evaluated for these.

If you experience these symptoms even after detailed evaluation and treatment by gastroenterologist you may need to visit Psychiatrist to evaluate whether this is a symptom of Somatoform disorder.
