Thank you for your question. Migrane is a long term disease. First of all you should be clear that your headache is due to migrane and not due to other causes. There is preceding awareness of headache in migrane, pain on half of the half of head, sometimes blurring of vision and dizziness. For prevention of migrane you need to know the preceding factors that may aggravate the attacks like loud noise, sunlight, spicy foods etc and try to avoid it as far as possible. Cold drinks, much spicy foods and junk foods have been found to aggravate the condition and you need to avoid. For preventing frequent attacks and prophylactic medicine please consult some neurophysian or psychiatritist. Hope you get well soon.

Its tough job since the cause of migraine is still not clear. Avoidance of headache triggers is preventive aspects and some medicine you can use for treatment of acute attack. Meet any psychiatrist or general practitioner for relieving symptoms and prevention of frequent attacks. Thanks for the query!
