Good Evening Before I fly to USA i have done test in Nepal but could not manage my time to visit Dr to show report which is as likeTEST NAME TEST RESULT UNIT RANGE METHOD RPR (VDRL) Titre Non Reactive(Upto 1:8 dilution) Carbon Particle Agglutination HSV-1 IgG Ab 20.0 Index <1.0: Negative 1.0 - 1.2 : Equivocal ≥ 1.2: Positive CLIA HSV-1 IgM Ab 0.42 Index < 0.8 : Negative ≥ 0.8 - <1.1 : Equivocal ≥ 1.1 : Positive HSV-2 IgG Ab <0.01 Index < 0.9 : Negative 0.9 - 1.1 : Equivocal > 1.1 : Positive HSV-2 IgM Ab 0.36 Index < 0.8 : Negative ≥ 0.8 - <1.1 : Equivocal ≥ 1.1 : Positive from above I can see HSV 1 lgG is 20 so what does it means ? rest look normal Can you suggest me ? do i need medication or not

Hello lila jee. Yes your HSV 1 igG is higher which means you had past herpes infection ( not recent). If igM was positive you would have required treatment.Still i need to know why you did your test. Was it a routine test or was it become of some symptoms?Sometimes we have to treat based on symptoms also,if any.
