I have been seeing a DO since a year. He checked my brain MRI and is treating me according to my symptoms. I told him i have depression and anxiety and headache every often. Headache is once a week or so. He prescribed me butalb/caff/acetamino. He also told me i may have PTSD. He also prescribed cymbalta. My questions is what is cymbalta for, why he gave me that medicine? Does cymbalta has withdrawal symtomps later when i stop? What does it treats? Why do doctor prescribe cymbalta?

It is duloxetine, a serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, a medicine used to treat anxiety or depressive episodes. Your doctor may have given it for your PTSD. It needs to be taken for definite period of time as mentioned by your doctor. Dont leave it or decrease the dose by your own. Please consult your doctor for how long you should take it.
