Nepal is still one of the least urbanized countries in Asia, but it is also one of the fastest growing. Kathmandu is also considered one of the most polluted cities in Asia. How did things get so bad in this potentially lovely city and what’s being done to turn the tide?
In Nepal, 35000 people die annually due to illnesses caused by polluted air. There has not been any program to control air pollution in Kathmandu valley. Day to day, the number of vehicle are increasing and more people are migrating to Kathmandu valley for different opportunities. The local government are not launching effective program to control air pollution of Kathmandu. If this situation is not control the in near future the life of Kathmandu will be worst. So, government has to take effective program to control this issue, otherwise the life in the Kathmandu valley will be unsustainable.
 Population of Kathmandu and the wider Kathmandu Valley is 1.5 million and 3 million, respectively, and it is evident everywhere that this is far beyond what the current infrastructure can support.
